At the time of this writing, there is almost a foot of snow and more expected this week. Big Diamond froze over on Dec. 18th and so the winter begins!
Crews have built a new 30’ bridge to replace the worn out one on 134 bypass. Our groomer guys have been working around the Warming Hut, servicing the equipment and going out on the trails for signing.
There are lots of trail changes this year, so buy an updated map. Check it carefully for trail closures.
We have hired some new help to work in the kitchen this year as the volunteer labor is nearly non-existent. We will still be only too happy to have extra help come in on Saturdays, our busiest day. We are thinking about opening for lunches on Fridays through the season and maybe Mondays and Fridays on vacation weeks.
E-Toh-Anee closed their doors this fall and therefore we lost one of our dedicated and much valued members and board member. Mike Adamkowski, our Vice President, had to move to southern NH. We have enlisted Brad Gaudreault to fill in on our Board as a director. Welcome aboard, Brad.
SnoDeo this year will be on Friday and Saturday, March 2nd and 3rd. All four manufacturers have committed to attend this year. We are making plans for a new “So you want to be a Sno-Cross racer” event. This will be held on the lake for the every day rider to maneuver on a simulated sno-cross course in a time trial event. We plan to have two separate courses; one for snowmobiles and one for 4-track ATV’s. It should be a lot of fun to compete or to just watch the competition.

The antique tent will still be an interesting stop. Come get some memories from the ‘old days’ and hash over the good times from years ago with the owners of these very unique sleds.
Vendors will be offering specials and orders for the new 2013 sleds can be made. Pick your favorite after you have tried out the new demo snowmobiles.
Rav-X will be back with their breathtaking jumps and acrobatics. This will be held on Saturday morning so plan to attend this popular event.
