SDR ANNUAL MEETING

The Swift Diamond Riders Annual Meeting is scheduled for August 21 at the SDR Warming Hut. The meeting is planned to begin at 10:30 AM with a lunch to follow.

Several new items will be discussed which will set the coarse of the club for the next several years. Everyone’s attendence and input is welcome and appreciated.

SDR PURCHASES NEW GROOMER

THE SDR club has sold the BR180 groomer. It served us well but was time to move on. In its place, the Club retained a BOT grant and an RTP grant. Combined with the success of the Snodeo, SDR will be purchasing a new Prinorth groomer. The groomer fleet is now in great shape and ready to handle the trails for years to come.

Thanks to those that came on May 8 to do the final cleaning at Coleman State Park. We beat the rains and the place looks ready for business.

What Global Warning?

Icebergs have been sited at Little Diamond Pond. Al Gore is expected to make a visit and claim this is another example of global warming as no polar bears have been seen.

Another season flew by and planning is underway to get ready for 2010-2011. Several directors will be wrapping up their term and it is vital that some new blood get involved. Watch for upcoming directors meetings and get involved.

Thank you to all those that supported us by lending a hand at trail projects, helping at Snodeo, or by being a regular customer at our Warming Hut.

Lake was active with Rave X, Vintage racing, and Trax Demos

MANY, MANY THANKS to our volunteers that helped make the event a safe and family friendly success. From entry gate attendants to food tent workers to our overall runners, the event isn’t possible without your help.

All factories were happy with the public participation and the Vintage Race was a nice addition. Helicopter Rides were very popular as was the kiddie rides on Saturday and the Antique sled owners were taking their machines out often for a ride around the lake.

Thank you to the National Guard for their participation and service to our country.

The 4-5 planners and primary workers will take a breather for a couple weeks and then begin discussing the future. A pile of work for a handful of people. New faces are needed.

SNODEO TIME!!!

Snodeo has arrived and great temperatures greeted a couple thousand Friday visitors. Factories were very pleased with the rider count and look forward to a big Saturday.

The Rave X Jump Team will perform around 11AM and the Vintage Races will run all day along with the continued demo rides and CR Helicopter Rides. The Antique snowmobile parade will be approximately 2PM. Meet Mark and 2K from the WPKQ Morning Show on Saturday.

We have added a south entry gate where many snowmobiles park. We have also added a Midway Tent with many smaller booths for our assorted vendors who don’t need a lot of space. Check it out.

Warming Hut

The Warming Hut will OPEN JAN 2 for the Season. We are open Sat / Sun 7:30 to 4.

Warm up in our fully heated and licensed dining room. A big fire will great you on the coldest days. Bathrooms are there for our guests. Join us for lunch and our new breakfast. The Warming Hut has a large parking lot to drop off and a 24/7 gas pump. We accept Mastercard and Visa.

NEW THIS YEAR: BREAKFAST!!! A basic menu of eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, and waffles will start your day right. Any suggestions are appreciated.

For lunch, try out our new BURGER SLIDERS. 1/8 lb all beef burgers.

Buy-em by the plate full! Great for the kids as well.
